15. Never give up!

15. Never give up!

Rocky Balboa -- Yo... Get up and keep fighting.

Stay Strong!
Stay Strong!
"“The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place, and I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.
You, me, or nobody, is gonna hit as hard as life.
But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.
How much you can take and keep moving forward.
That’s how winning is done ! Now if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth.
But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers,
saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody ! Cowards do that, and that ain’t you!."
-- Rocky Balboa

In the movie "Rocky" Sylvester Stallone played the roll of a hard luck, down and out boxer who didn't have much in the way of finances. What he did have was inner strength and perseverance. Even though he lived in a run down, one room apartment, worked part time as a muscle man for the mob, fought for gate money at a local boxing ring and didn't have a girl friend... he never gave up trying to better himself and improve his life. "The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place, and I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it."

Hard work is the best way to improve one's life but you have to be ready to react when an opportunity comes along. Rocky was given an opportunity to fight the Champion "Apollo Creed". Rocky, although terrified of the fight, knew he had to push himself even harder in order to get himself in shape for the fight. Because no other fighter had ever gone the distance with Apollo, Rocky set his goal for that... to go the distance. During the fight Rocky was repeatedly hit hard and knocked down by Apollo, however Rocky used his inner strength to keep getting up to face his adversary. Rocky did reach his goal and went all 15 rounds with the Champion. HE WON! "You, me, or nobody, is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!"

We too must find our inner strength and keep getting up when life knock's us down. We have to take responsibility for our own situation and not point fingers and blame others. Life is not fair and it never will be so we all must take the hits and keep moving forward. "Now if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers, saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that, and that ain’t you!."
